Soil preparation included fine grading
but did not include amending the soil. Amending soil
is a process we don't do because plant selection is
based on existing soils.
After Planting
Plants included 1 gallon perennials and 5-7
gallon potted trees and shrubs.
All plants were supplied with drip irrigation
and mulched.
Two Growing Seasons Later
Regular watering through the establishment period and subsequent
watering in times of drought.
The growth is impressive considering that zone 3 has a very
short growing season.
