Property owners – yes, this means you – are generally not represented by the people doing the actual building.  This can cause miscommunication and problems on the job.  Our consulting experience is that builders build, excavators dig, plumbers plumb, and none of them are advocates for you, the property owner.  Our job is to be your advocate for sustainability and give you the continuity needed on your project.

With a plan in place, Eco-Building & Forestry serves as your team leader, getting your project started, overseeing actual construction, and working with you to represent your interests during the construction process when other contractors are involved … until it’s done.  We help you select products and the contractors responsible for doing the work, and hold them accountable.  We can also help work with your existing contractor to get the green products you desire but that they may not be able to acquire.  We have access to the resources you need, whether you live in the Midwest or elsewhere.  We can develop plans for your property remotely, too - without visiting it - so you can obtain design services for less money.
